Paula Patton was born in Los Angeles, California to a middle class family. Her childhood was filled having big hopes. Her greatest roles are the action spy film Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol as well as the romantic drama Precious. She was born into a middle-class household in Los Angeles, she harboured big dreams as a child. She was raised by her mother, who was a fan of movies. Paula was involved in a variety of co-curricular events at school and had an interest in drama. She was a member of her class as well as participated in school productions. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School produced a number of plays. The actress decided acting was her preferred career. In a summer program offered by the University of Southern California, she had a blast there. The program offered her a three-month contract to create documentaries for PBS. She started as production assistant for television documentaries after successfully completing her project. Next, she was going to produce documentaries. The work was enjoyable but was determined to become an actor. She began her journey into acting when she appeared as Will Smith's co-star for the love story Hitch.
