Her first acting role was in Imtiaz Ali's Rockstar opposite Ranbir Kapoor in 2011. Mona Ghosh Shetty dubbed her voice due to her absence of Hindi ability. Nargis Fakhri who was born October 20th, 1979, was born to Mohammed Fakhri, and Marie Fakhri. Aliya is her older sister. Her father, Mohammed Fakhri is a Pakistani as is her mother Marie Fakhri is a Czech. Their divorce occurred in the year she turned 7 years old. Her father passed away shortly following the divorce. Marie Fakhri was a policewoman during the time. Nargis believes she is an Global Citizen because of her mixed Pakistani-Czech ethnicity and American citizenship. Fakhri began her professional career as an actress at the age of sixteen. When she was along with her boyfriend who was living in Copenhagen, Imtiaz wanted to meet her in Prague because of a part in an Indian film. Nargis Fakhri began dating actor Uday Chopra in 2014. However the couple broke up in 2017. In May 2018 she revealed her romance to american filmmaker and video editor Matt Alonzo through her Instagram handle. They broke up in 2019. She is currently dating American chef Justin Santos. Nargis was ranked 73rd in Forbes India's list of indian stars in 2014.
